Rayotec Installation Process
Stage 1: Enquiry
Rayotec will ask for room sizes or preferably floor plans (these could be hand drawn or architect scaled PDF floor plans). Our installation and sales team will also need to know subfloor and final floor details. Once we have received it we will immediately get working on generating a supply and installation quote and email it over as soon as possible.
Stage 2: Site Visit
If you are satisfied with the installation quote and would like to move forward our sales team can arrange for our installation manager to contact you to arrange a site visit. We try to carry out a site visit for every installation quoted however for smaller installs this is not always possible. An alternative option for us is requesting a set of pictures showing the site or better yet arranging a video call which our installation manager would be happy to accommodate. Whichever method is used details such as sizing, electrics and thermostats will be finalised to make sure you have the perfect quote.
Stage 3: Finance
Once the quote is finalised and as per specifications it is now time to get it booked in! if you are one of the construction giants or an up-and-coming builder our finance team will carry out credit checks to see what payment terms will be offered. If you are a homeowner carrying out a domestic project payment terms are a straight 50% deposit and 50% on completion. Once its all paid up it’s now time for us to arrange getting your materials onsite ready to be fitted on the agreed installation date.
Stage 4: Installation
Materials will have been sent to site or will be brought in by our install team ready to be fitted. Our installations team will come in on the agreed date and get working on fitting your system. Depending on the size of the project this may be a few hours or multiple days. Electrics tend to be carried out first followed by our expert installers coming in to lay the insulation, mats and latex over the top depending on the system being fitted. If you go for a foil mat we’ll leave it ready for your floor fitter to float your engineered wood, wood laminate or carpet directly over the top. If you are going for a stuck down floor such as tiles or vinyl we leave the Webtech heat mat with a first skim of latex ready for your floor fitter to carry out the final skim and lay your floor.
Stage 5: Underfloor Heating Sign off and Completion
Our installation team have fitted the system and all is up and running. All of our electricians are qualified and will carry out the relevant tests to ensure the system is working as it should. All this information is recorded and supplied to you. We also take photos and/or videos showing layout so in the future if ever needed mat positioning can be easily located. All installation manuals and thermostat set up guides are emailed over to help you set up and enjoy your system once your floor is down. If the project is commercial all documents are forwarded over to our respective client. The remaining payment at this stage would now be due. All installs come with a 1-year workmanship warranty so if anything is not functioning as it should we are only a phone call away to help.

We've never done electric underfloor heating before as we don't have the in-house expertise to do the full install and would have to organise various other technicians and installers to come in.
