Jeremy Hickman, Somerset

Posted 15 Oct 2013

Jeremy Hickman and his girlfriend, own a 2 bedroom mid-terrace period property in Minehead, Somerset. Their property was in need of a complete refurbishment and involved updating the kitchen, renewing the flooring, decorating and updating the heating system.

Jeremy's home has no gas or oil storage and with the additional disadvantage of lack of space, the plan for bulky storage heaters were out of the question. His challenge was to therefore find an electric underfloor heating system that could be used as the primary source of heating. His final floor coverings were to consist of carpet and wood so the system had to be compatible and involve a minimal increase in floor height. He found the electric cable system not to be a viable option for his project due to the involvement of thick self levelling compounds, but soon Jeremy found us and saw that our system was the perfect solution to fulfil all his requirements.

As the system is sold as a kit, we asked Jeremy his feedback for the installation process of the ribbon heating mats – his answer was simply:

Very, Very Easy!

When asking why he chose to buy from Rayotec, he told us:

not only did you have the ideal product for my project, but the technical advice and knowledge regarding the product was excellent.
