  • 1 Choose what size and quantity of kits you would like to purchase.
  • 2 Choose the thickness and quantity of insulation boards you require.

How do I know which size mat to order?

Measure the available exposed floor space in your room. It is advised that you purchase a system which allows 80-90% coverage. For example, if your room measures 15m 2 , you would purchase the 13m 2 Mat.

If a room is of an awkward shape with many fixtures in the centre of the room, it is advised that you purchase a system that allows approximately 80% coverage.

Kits covering more than 10m 2 comprise of 2 or more mats.

Separate mat for multiple rooms.

Please note that it is not advised to use one mat for multiple rooms. It is important that each room has its own mat and thermostat for easy control of the system. Open plan rooms can be on a single thermostat as long as the area of matting is less than 24m 2 . If a room has 2 different final floor coverings then 2 separate thermostats should be used.

Good points:
prompt delivery, and value for money, as I shopped around on the web prior to purchasing both mesh and thermal boards, the mesh worked really well, especially to the thermoboards, and all in all seems a really good quality product, the after sales advice and information was readily available on request, would happily shop again if I ever had the ridiculous idea to fit out my own kitchen again. I suggest you leave this to the professionals if only to save your marriage.

Good points:
I was recommended to contact Rayotec by a colleague who had self-installed their heating mats. From the first phone contact to the delivery; their service was first rate - as were the communications. I'm delighted with the result. The hallway and kitchen tiles are delightfully warm to the touch and the Neohub / Wif thermostats are easy to use and set up. Would definitely be recommending them to friends.

Good points:
I rarely review items but have made an exception with this product. I researched electrical under floor heating prior to purchase but was really none the wiser as to which company to use. I consulted the electrician who was going to install the under tile system who advised me to go for a German made mat by another company that was twice the price of Rayotec. I therefore took a bit of a chance and ordered the Rayotec. I was impressed by the product quality but was even more happy when the installing electrician said that he'd laid a lot of mats and although he'd not come across Rayotec, he stated that it was the best UFH mat he'd seen and would be recommending them to future customers.
The system has now been operating for a few months and is quick to heat and provides a more than adequate background heat in our new bathroom. I chose the digital thermostat and found that programming it using the instructions supplied extremely difficult. Youtube to the rescue with a very easy to follow "idiots guide".
I shall certainly be using Rayotec underfloor heating for other rooms in the house. A superb competitively priced quality product!

We are specialists in installing underfloor heating and we were specified Rayotec for a project and since then we have gone back to Rayotec for other projects because we liked the product. The install was all very straightforward.

Good points:
Rayotec were recommended to us by a friend as the mats were very thin and we didn’t want to worry about floor heights and the Rayotec mats were really thin. The Elite mat was recommended by your sales advisor Victoria and it has been really good. We purchased two systems, Rayomax for under wood and Elite for under tile, and they were both working really well. It was dead easy to install and both James and Victoria were very helpful.

Good points:
We removed a radiator from the kitchen and wanted underfloor heating. I liked the German origin of the mat. You know you can rely on the Germans for their engineering!. The mat went down without a problem. I had more problems with the tiles as they were very large and we didn’t want to pinch the cables. We are absolutely delighted with it. I needed to speak to Rayotec about certain aspects of the process and they gave excellent information, fantastic

Good points:
I chose Elite because it looked like a good product. It was all straight forward, nice and easy to lay, put the self-levelling compound on top and the tiles are all down. We bought some loose cable too which we haven’t put down yet. We had a little glitch with a loose wire in the thermostat but the electrician spotted it and fixed it. We haven’t turned it on yet but it passed all the tests once we had installed it. I’m happy with it

Good points:
I work in the trade and we install underfloor heating regularly. We usually use WarmUp but it can be really expensive and I wanted to try something different. The Elite mat was spot on, the sticky back was great, it was very easy to install and it’s hands down better than WarmUp. Great product
